my favorite professor at the UofC just passed away.
ted cohen. he liked jokes.
he thought humor was the most important subject in the philosophy of art.
he taught at the school for 40 years. he's probably in the mortar.
him and his jokes.
i took a great class with him once on fiction. how fictions shape and change peoples' worldviews and morals. it was awesome. we smoked cigarettes on the steps together once and i spent most of my cigarette working up the courage to ask him a question. coming and going, coming and going, what a thing, that such a mind would not be here anymore
