IT'S AUTUMN
EVERYTHING IS DYING
TIS THE SEASON I PRETEND TO BE A CATHOLICK
BY DRINKING A LOT OF WINE

IMMA TEAR UP THE PROLAPSED ANUS OF THIS TOWN
AND OMG, GONNA RECLAIM THE SOUL
AS AN OBJECT OF STUDY
NO GODS NO RULERS
STILL SWIMMIN IN THE DIVINE

PIERCE MY HEART WITH THE PINPRICK OF THE WILLIS TOWER
I

an update

hello my darlings
my first post about not drinking mentioned that the start date of my experiment was january 26th.
that was just 4 days before my 23rd birthday. I broke the fast last saturday, march 5th, for a total of some large amount of days.
as i sit here now with a mug of wine, i reflect on the fact that it was nice. i had more energy to do other things. i don't think i'll start drinking every night again, at least not for a while. what a waste!

by the way if you want to see something that might have something worth seeing over the weekend that I made you might check out crowdCTL.com. It's a thing.

still T-totalling, how about that?

did it ever occur to anybody back in the good ole angry baohaus days that "for nothing, against everything" and "take it down from the outside" is also a False Binary?
ps. if you have an android phone i just published a new app called Crowd Control - think anonymous, localized text chatting by gps.
pps. not drinking makes other substances more effective in general. also makes me a better programmer. also makes my mood much calmer. shockingly, i'm beginning to understand mr. franklin.

Seizure Music

For one month, starting last wednesday the 26th, I am not drinking alcohol. I'll be hitting the blog up with an update once in a while on how that's going.
For starters, last night was a friday night, and we had a pretty standard-sized party here. Differences from usual parties for me included: not drinking.
for serious tho, I didn't buy any booze, and somehow there was enough for everyone anyway, which means that although there's usually a lot more than we had, I usually manage to take care of it all on my own.
I had a lot more energy than I thought I would. ya know how quitting smokers get an energy boost ~30 days after? Well I thought it would take that long. But I was still going strong at 2 or 3am. Not that I'm not usually going strong then. But I was going stronger.
Also, I ate more food. Turns out there's a lot of caloric content in alcohol. If you don't eat more to keep up with it, you'll feel like you're missing something (and you are).
Also, I had to pee less.

Anyways, the title of this post shall be the name of my next imaginary band.

remarks on being in the world

i just discovered that our dishwasher got fixed 2 months ago and we never noticed. yeah!

tequila and rum are different, i realized. after genderqueerchicago meeting last night, i came south with a crew and went to sav's to celebrate/take my pants off/send love with sav to d.c. i started taking dirty girl scouts (there were at least five scattered through my evening) and then moved to rum and coke which was actually, deceptively, tequila and coke. those are different things.

i am nibbling through my cocoon at istria; my wings are covered with grounds and mucus but i am very nearly a fullfledged Barist(a). a wondrous new world of people two minutes from the haus. yes.
